Glengad United FC

Glengad United FC is a County Donegal soccer club competing in the Inishowen Football League. The club was founded in 1976 and entered the League for the 1977 / 1978 soccer season. The club's home ground at St Colmcille Park was originally known as Barr's Field. During the 2008 / 2009 season Glengad opened a second playing facility at the Crua.

In the 1982 / 1983 season the club won it's first football honours when it triumphed in the first Fr. O’Gara Cup and won the Inishowen League First Division to complete the league and cup double for the first time.

St Colmcille Park:
After reaching Malin on the R242 road proceed through the town and turn at first right after the Malin Hotel. At the fork in the road proceed along the L1081 - the right hand fork - heading for Glengad. Proceed along this road for approximately 6 kilometres passing the Fishermans Inn on the way. When you reach Glengad turn right after the primary school. St. Colmcille Park is situated at the rear of the primary school.

The Crua:
Proceed as above as far as the Fishermans Inn. When you reach Glengad take the left turn before Laffertys Shop and the petrol station. Follow the signs for Malin Head and proceed for about 2.5 km The Crua is situated on the right hand side.
