Soccer is the most popular
team sport in Dublin. More people support and play football in Ireland's
capital city than any other sport. Dublin soccer clubs have always
featured prominently at all levels of the game. Up until Jack
Charlton took over the management of the Republic of Ireland
senior international team Dublin footballers dominated the team.
Since the success on the soccer pitch enjoyed by the national team
