Orchard United FC

Orchard United FC is a Dublin football club established in 1949 by Mr. James Inge. Based in Ballybough, Dublin 3 in the north inner city, the club competes in the Athletic Union League. During the 1960's this progressive club built its' own clubhouse and footballing facilities at the back of Tolka Road. It was rare in those days for soccer clubs competing at that level to have its' own facilities.

With the support of Dublin City Council the club intends to renovate the current facilities near the Tolka River by the year 2010. The club plays its' football matches at St Anne's Park, Raheny, Dublin 5.

Over the years Orchard United has won a number of football trophies. The first success on the soccer pitch was in 1957, less than 10 years since the club was formed. Following on from this success in the Cunningham Cup the soccer club won the AUL Division 3 Sunday league title in 1959.
