Seafordrock United FC

Seafordrock United FC is a south Dublin soccer football club that was formed in 1998. The club is an amalgamation of former soccer clubs Seaford FC and Rock United FC. Seaford had been established back in 1971. Unusually, for the first seven years the club did not have a team manager and team selection was made a a committee of six players.

In 1998 Seaford merged with Mount Merrion team Deerpark United. In the very early '90s there was a further merger with Oatlands from Stillorgan. This merger did not work out and both football clubs wen their separate ways within one year. The idea of a merger with rivals Rock United was first suggested in 1996. At the time both clubs shared County Council grounds in Newtownparklands.
