Skerries Town FC

Skerries Town FC is a north county Dublin soccer football club. The club was formed by the merger of senior club Skerries United (est. 1946) and schoolboys club Home Celtic United (est. 1982) in 1990.

In 1997 the then Irish president, Mary Robinson, officially opened a new clubhouse at Park Lane in Skerries. Around the same time Skerries Town FC won an award from the Leinster Senior League for being the Most Progressive Club of the Season.

The club reached an all time high achievement when the senior football team beat Monaghan United, from the League of Ireland, in the second round of the FAI Cup during the 2002/03 season.

Town Park Skerries (at the Mill) & Mourne View Estate, Skerries, Co Dublin. All schoolboy teams play on these soccer pitches. The main pitch and Clubhouse is located at Park Lane, off the Dublin Road opposite Skerries Community Centre. The other pitches in the Town Park have access via (a) the car park of Skerries Community Centre or (b) via the car park of the Skerries Mills. (Note the Mills car park has limited opening hours) and the Mourne View Park pitch, is accessed via Mourne View estate.
