Terenure FC

Terenure Football Club based in south Dublin was formed in 1970 by Mr. Frankie Byrne. (1934-2006). Currently the soccer club has Four Senior Men's Teams in the UCFL, a Senior Women's Team (Winter and Summer League), four Schoolboy teams and a young children's development academy. The club is currently planning to create schoolgirl teams/development academy for Summer 2010.

The club has provided football to the larger Terenure area and attracts players and managers from fields as far as Inchicore, Drimnagh, Kildare and even players from the north side of Dublin. We have a number of players from outside of Ireland, including the UK, Brazil, Sweden, Norway and many other nationalities from over the years. All weather training facilities are provided for the winter training along with spinning and circuit training classes. The club also owns two 10 year premium tickets for the Aviva Stadium and holds a number of fund-raising events throughout the year.

Terenure FC Schoolboy Teams compete in the Dublin District Schoolboys League and the South Dublin Football League.
Terenure FC Senior Men's Teams compete in the United Churches Football League.
Terenure FC Senior Women's Teams play in the Dublin Omens Soccer League (Summer) and the North Dublin Schoolboy/girls League (Winter) Home matches are played in Bushy Park or the VEC Grounds, both in Terenure. Both have full changing room facilities.

The club is always on the lookout for new players, especially at Schoolboy/girl age groups and for our Senior Omens Team. At Men's Senior Level, even though we have four teams at various levels, our 3rd/4th teams are as good as the 1st/2nd Team so we only seek players who feel they could play at a high level in the UCFL (Premier or Division 1). From the M50 take the Tallaght exit. Head towards the City centre. Proceed through Templeogue village and on straight on towards Terenure. The football pitches are in Bushy Park which is on the right. Car parking is available in Rathdown Avenue.
