Santry is a suburb of
north Dublin in Ireland and the post code is Dublin 9. The area
is administered by Fingal
County Council and Dublin
City Council. Santry has a diverse character and nearby suburbs
include Ballymun, Coolock,
Glasnevin and Whitehall. The suburb
is served by the M1 motorway and is close to the entrance of the
Dublin Port Tunnel and Dublin International Airport. Santry has
a rich sporting heritage and is home to Morton Stadium. Herb Elliott
from Australia broke the mile World record in 1958 in the stadium.
Morton is the home track for Clonliffe Harriers athletic club. The
stadium has also been the home ground for football clubs, Shamrock
Rovers and Sporting Fingal.
