Irish Football Manager's Playing Records
Up until September 1969 the Irish football
team was selected by a five man committee. Under pressure from the players,
led by Eamon Dunphy,
the FAI agreed
to the appointment of a manager of the Republic of Ireland. Below
are the records of all Irish soccer managers; Mick
Meagan, Liam Tuohy, John
Giles, Alan Kelly, Eoin
Hand, Jack Charlton, Brian
Kerr, Steve Staunton, and Giovanni
Trapattoni. The record of interim managers Sean
Thomas and caretaker manager Don Givens
are also included. Details include numbers of football matches played,
wins, losses, draws, goals for & against, biggest win, heaviest defeat,
number of players used, appearances, debuts, and leading goalscorers.
