Callan United AFC

Callan United AFC, formed over 50 years ago, is a football club situated in Callan, Co. Kilkenny. The club competes in the Kilkenny and District League and play their home games in Fair Green in the centre of Callan. With over 100 members the football club boasts two full-sized playing pitches as well as a floodlit training ground. United registered notable success on the pitch when it won the McAlmont Cup in successive years in 1971 and 1972.
