|
The club was established in 1971 and the first home pitch was at the Sports and Social Club grounds of Irish Cement. A year later Mungret acquired the use of it's current pitch at Caher Road. In 1984 the football club built a new clubhouse which has subsequently been refurbished. The club has also added all-weather facilities including floodlights. Mungret were Premier League champions in 1988 and also won the 1994 Munster Junior Cup. Mungret has also had much success at schoolboy level. |
