David Hannah & Liverpool'Davy' Hannah made his Liverpool debut on 10 November 1894 against Stoke City at Victoria Ground. Liverpool lost 3-1 on a day the John McLean also made his debut for the Reds. Hannah retained he place in the team for most of the rest of the season making 17 First Division appearances as Liverpool were relegated to the Division Two. David Hannah scored the first of his 12 goals for Liverpool in his home debut in his second match for the club. At Anfield Road he scored a second half goal as Liverpool snatched a late 2-2 draw against Merseyside rivals Everton. Hannah went on to score a total of six goals in that relegation season. season as Liverpool
returned to the First Division at the first attempt. Hannah chipped in with
three goals. In his final season with the club he made just four appearances
yet he scored three goals. David Hannah played his last game for Liverpool
on 13 March 1897 against Aston Villa in a 0-0 draw. Later that year Hannah
was allowed to leave Liverpool on a free transfer to Dundee in Scotland.
