Edenderry Town FC is an Offaly based soccer football club. The workers from the Aylsbury's Timber factory, led by Mr. Paddy Maloney, established the soccer club in 1926. For the first few decades the club only played in cup competitions and on a number of different football pitches including Pollards field, The Creamery, and Fay's field. Edenderry's first success on the playing field was in 1972 when the club won the Leinster Counties Cup. Inspired by this success Edenderry Town secured a permanent home at Fr Paul Park. The club's underage set-up was established in the early 1980's. |
