Crosshaven AFC |
Crosshaven AFC is the oldest soccer club in County Cork. The club was formed on 13th September in 1898 by members of the British army that were based in Fort Camden. After occupying a number of other homes the club returned to Camden in the 1980’s where it has remained ever since.
Crosshaven Football Club has two full-sized soccer pitches, a fine artificial pitch, club house and dressing rooms. The club has been one of the most consistently successful clubs in Cork down through the years. The earliest recorded success on the soccer pitch was when Crosshaven won the Cork AUL First Division in the 1951/52 season. This feat was repeated in the following season. The football club has a number of schoolboy teams, two girls teams and a men’s team. |
