Bohemian FC IntroductionBohemian FC is a League of Ireland soccer football club based in Phibsboro, Dublin 7 often called ‘Bohemians’ or ‘Bohs’. The club was formed in 1890 as an exclusively amateur outfit. Originally Bohemians played on the Polo Grounds on the Phoenix Park however since 7th September 1901 Dalymount Park has been home for the club. Bohemians is one of the founding members of the of the League of Ireland, following the Irish War of Independence and the Split from the Irish Football association (IFA), finishing second to St James’s Gate in the first year of the League. Since then Bohemians Football Club has been an ever-present in the Republic of Ireland’s top soccer league. Bohemians first won the League of Ireland in the 1923/1924 season four points ahead of Dublin rivals Shelbourne. Since then Bohs have won the League on a further ten occasions and they are the current champions having finished ahead of their other great adversaries from Dublin, Shamrock Rovers, in 2009. The points margin was also four points. The clubs’ nickname is ‘the Gypsies’ but is most commonly referred to as ‘Bohs’. |

Who Owns
|
Since its’ formation in the late 19th century Bohemians Football Club has been owned by the members of the club. The democratic principle of ‘one man, one vote’ is at the heart of of this ownership model. A member may put himself / herself forward for election to the Board of Directors after three years of continuous membership. Bohemian FC Membership Application Bohemians FC MembershipIndividual full membership costs €365 for one year. Family membership costs €585. Student membership costs €210. Associate (Associate Members must be under 16 and related to a Full Member, or a spouse of the member). Senior Membership is offered to members over 65 who have 10 years service for €80. All full members are entitled to vote at all general meetings. Bohemians FC Membership Entitlements1) A Membership Card – On presentation at the Members’ Stile, this gives free access to Jodi Stand for all Bohemian FC League games at Dalymount Park. |
