West Cork Schoolboys League Introduction

The West Cork Schoolboys League was founded to provided a structured league system for all football clubs based in West Cork. There are 17 soccer clubs affiliated to the WCSL. During the 2008 / 2009 season the WCSL operated six leagues including an Under 16’s schoolgirls league. There were also four West Cork Schoolboys League cup competitions. WCSL is and enthusiastic participant in the FAI’s Emerging Talent Programme. The aim of the programme is to provide emerging talent in the West Cork area with a clear pathway to success by giving them the opportunity to train and play with the more talented players and coaches in their area, thus providing them with a more challenging level of training and development.
