Republic of Ireland Football Team Results
Outlined below is a full list of all international football matches played by Ireland at senior level.
The first international representative soccer match played by, what we now know as, the Republic of Ireland was on the 28th May 1924 in Paris, France in the Olympic soccer tournament. The Irish won their first international football match against Bulgaria 1-0.
The match was played in Colombes in Paris in front of a mere 1,500 fans. The winning goal scored was by Paddy Duncan of St James Gate. The Dublin club supplied three members of the Irish team that took to the field that day.
